A Spanish rider of Grand Prix motorcycles, Aleix Espargaró Villà was born on July 30, 1989. He now competes in the MotoGP class for the Aprilia Racing squad. He was the 2004 Spanish FIM CEV 125cc International Champion.

Espargaró was born in Granollers, Spain. Espargaró made his debut in the 2014 MotoGP season with forwarding Yamaha, finishing 7th overall with the highlight being a 2nd place finish at Aragon. He was hired by the Factory Suzuki Team in 2015 as a result. He changed teams in 2017 and joined Aprilia Racing Team Gresini.

He won the Spanish FIM CEV International Championship 125 cc class in 2004 with one victory, two podium finishes, and 88 total points at Circuito del Jarama.
Espagaró switched from the 125cc class to the 250cc class mid-season in the Grand Prix Motorcycle World Championship racing in 2006. Martin Cardenas succeeded Sebastian Porto once Porto’s career came to an end, and Espargaró took Cardenas’ place.
