The Imperfects cast, synopsis, release date predictions, teaser and more

Netflix will be releasing a science-fiction series titled The Imperfects this year, starring Chasing Life star Italia Ricci. We have all the important details about the upcoming series and we’ve shared them below!

The Imperfects was announced in April 2021 by Netflix. It was revealed that the streamer had given a 10-episode straight-to-series order to the sci-fi series with The Order‘s Dennis Heaton and Shelley Eriksen named as the creators, writers, and executive producers. Chad Oakes and Michael Frislev also signed on as executive producers. Nomadic Pictures serves as the studio. You might be familiar with Nomadic Pictures because they’re behind Netflix original series The Order, Wu Assassins and The I-Land.

No. Production started in April 2021 and lasted three months, wrapping in July. Filming mainly took place in Vancouver, Canada.

Italia Ricci leads the cast as Dr. Sydney Burke, a gifted scientist looking to fix her past mistakes. Dr. Burke ends up teaming up with other characters to track down the scientist who turned them into monsters.

"After an experimental gene therapy turns them into monsters, three twenty-somethings band together to hunt down the scientist responsible and force him to make them human again."

As of June 6, Netflix has not announced the official release date. However, at Netflix Geeked Week 2022, it was revealed that the sci-fi series would be coming to Netflix this fall. This means we’ll see the show arrive on Netflix somewhere between September and December. Fingers crossed, the show is given a September release. We’ll definitely share the official release date once Netflix announces it.
