Talking about the career journey of Marko Jaric, he started playing basketball professionally after joining Greek Basket League Club Peristeri in 1996. Before joining NBA, he has won twice Italian League Championship for two different teams, one with Fortitudo Bologna in 2000 and another with Virtus Bologna in 2001.

Marko Jaric started playing in NBA after being selected by Los Angeles Clippers in the 2000 NBA draft. On 12 August 2005, he was traded to Minnesota Timberwolves after playing around for five years for Team Clippers. On 26 June 2008, he was traded by the Timberwolves to Memphis Grizzlies and has agreed with the team Grizzlies that he wouldn’t attend training camp. On 22 December 2009, he signed with the Spanish club Real Madrid. On 14 January 2011, he again signed with the Italian Club Montepaschi Siena for the rest of the 2010-11 season.

After onwards, in October 2012, Marko Jaric signed with the Chicago Bulls but he was soon released from the team on 24 October. In September 2013, he started playing for Brooklyn Nets and he was released from the team on 15 October. Then he retired from playing professional basketball in 2013. He won a gold medal at the 1998 Under-20 FIBA Europe Championship. Marko Jaric has also won the gold medal at EuroBasket 2001 as well as at the 2002 FIBA World Championship.
