The royal Christmas is going to be even bigger this year as King Charles has extended an invite to Queen Camilla’s kids and grandchildren too. However, there is no news of an invite being sent to Harry and Meghan.
The royal family will require a bigger table to accommodate Queen Consort Camilla‘s children and grandchildren this year. As the queen’s brood is being added to the royals’ holiday guest list, the celebrations will take place in the bigger ballroom, rather than the dining room which hosted Christmas lunch during Queen Elizabeth II‘s time. However, the news of the extended royal guest list may cause pain to the family members sitting in Montecito, California – Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. The two have once again not made the cut to get on the royal guest list. Some experts even believe that the two may have “ruptured ties with royals for good.“
King Charles invites Queen Camilla’s kids to royal Christmas party
While Kate and William won’t be dining together on Christmas morning, they are sure to celebrate the holiday later in the day with the King’s guests. Back in November 2023, ITV’s royal expert Chris Ship wrote that the family’s Christmas guest list has been “radically altered” to accommodate Queen Camilla’s side of the family.
Senior royals like Kate Middleton, Prince William, and more will be present at the celebrations. Moreover, the Queen Consort’s two children (food critic and MasterChef star Tom Parker Bowles and Laura Lopes) will also be present.
Along with Tom and Lola, their children will also be in attendance. Tom and Lola are the Queen Consort’s kids from her first marriage to Andrew Parker Bowles. Tom, 48, is a father of two – Lola, 16, and Freddy, 13. Laura, on the other hand, has three kids – Eliza, 15, and twins Gus and Louis, 13, with Harry Lopes. Queen Camilla is reportedly close to her grandchildren.
Harry and Meghan would love to go but did not get an invite
Royal expert Richard Eden told The Daily Mail that Harry and Meghan, who sent two very strong messages with their 2023 holiday card, won’t get the invite to the royal family Christmas. The comment comes in the wake of rumors that the Sussexes and their children Archie, 4, and Lilibet, 2, will be spending Christmas with Harry’s family back in the UK.
Meghan and Harry’s last Christmas with the royal family was in 2018, just seven months after their wedding. They spent the 2019 Christmas with Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland. Since they left the royal family in 2020, the Sussexes have spent Christmases away from Harry’s home country and family.
Archie and Lilibet recorded a Happy Birthday video for Grandpa Charles
As King Charles turned 75 on November 14, he reportedly received a very special video recording from grandkids Archie and Lilibet. The Telegraph noted back in November that, not only did Prince Harry have a phone call with his father, but Archie and Lili also recorded a video for their grandpa.
The video was reportedly of the toddlers singing happy birthday to the British monarch. The King has only met the children of his younger son a handful of times.
