Barry Lamar Bonds (born July 24, 1964) is a former Major League Baseball left fielder who played 22 seasons in the league (MLB). From 1986 to 1992, Bonds was a member of the Pittsburgh Pirates, and from 1993 to 2007, Barry was a member of the San Francisco Giants. Barry is widely regarded as one of the greatest baseball players of all time.
Bonds was recognized as an all-around player, receiving a record seven NL MVP awards, 12 Silver Slugger awards, and 14 All-Star selections. Many MLB hitting records are held by him, including the most career home runs (762), the most home runs in a single season (73, set in 2001), and the most career walks. Bonds led the league in on-base plus slugging six times and finished in the top five in 12 of his 17 qualifying seasons. Barry received eight Gold Glove awards in the outfield for his defensive performance. As the first and only MLB player to date with at least 500 home runs and 500 stolen bases, Barry also stole 514 bases.
