Larissa Borges is no longer alive among us. Brazillian fitness influencer, 33, passed away after spending a week in a coma due to a double cardiac arrest.

She first suffered a cardiac arrest on August 20 and went into a coma and remained hospitalized for a week. Later, she experienced a second new cardiac arrest, but this time she “did not resist” and died on August 28.

Her death was confirmed by her family member in a heartbreaking statement written in Portuguese on her Instagram account. The translated statement reads,

“It is with deep sadness that we report the death of our beloved Larissa Borges. Larissa suffered a cardiac arrest on Sunday, the 20th, in Gramado-RS and fought bravely in a coma for a week. The pain of losing someone so young, at just 33 years old, and so lovely is overwhelming. Our hearts are broken, and the longing we will feel is indescribable,”

Remembering Larissa Borges’ life and legacy

Her family describes Borges’ personality in the heartfelt letter and describes the legacy of love, joy, and tenacity she left behind.

Borges family wrote,

“She was known for her captivating personality, always bringing smiles to those around her, Her presence illuminated any environment, and her contagious energy was missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.”

“In addition to her charming personality, Larissa was also a dedicated and hardworking person. She battled tirelessly for her life, facing all the obstacles that a determined, warrior woman does: Without complaining.”

The statement concluded by grieving the “void” that Borges’ death has left in her family’s hearts. It also noted that further facts about her death would be released in the future.
