Bridgerton prequel series finds its Young Violet Bridgerton in Connie Jenkins-Greig

Bridgerton fans, Netflix has just announced a new cast update for the Bridgerton prequel with the casting of Connie Jenkins-Greig in the role of a Young Violet Bridgerton. With this new addition, the cast lineup looks amazing!

The Bridgerton prequel series was first announced in May 2021, with very little information revealed. At the time, all that was known was that the show would tell Queen Charlotte’s origin story and the stories of a Young Violet Bridgerton and Young Lady Danbury. Now, so much more information has been disclosed with new cast announcements, filming underway, and an expected release year in 2023.

The previously announced cast includes India Amarteifio, Golda Rosheuval, Michelle Fairley, Corey Mylchreest, Arsema Thomas, Adjoa Andoh, Ruth Gemmell, Sam Clemmett, Richard Cunningham,  Tunji Kasim, Rob Maloney, Cyril Nri, Hugh Sachs, Katie Brayben, and Keir Charles. And just when we thought the casting couldn’t get any better, Netflix announces who would be playing Young Violet Bridgerton.

Deadline reported that Connie Jenkins-Greig will portray the recurring character of Young Violet Ledger, the daughter of Vivian and Lord Ledger (Katie Brayben and Keir Charles). Her character is described as “a kind and inquisitive teenager who has not yet entered the marriage mart … or famously become a Bridgerton.”

Connie is a young British actress known for her roles in The Take DownThe Kid Who Would Be KingMr Selfridge and New Blood. I’m pretty sure after everyone sees Connie take on the role of Young Violet Bridgerton in the Bridgerton prequel, we’ll see her in many more projects in the future.

As we mentioned earlier, the prequel series will focus on not only the backstory of the historical figure Queen Charlotte, but also other fan-favorite characters like Young Violet Bridgerton. Although plot details surrounding Young Violet Bridgerton are unknown at the moment, we’re still excited nonetheless!
